Did you know…

That there is a new opportunity to develop your skills to help reshape Australia’s health system?

In 2006 the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, in close association with the Australian Health Policy Institute, will launch its new Graduate Certificate in Health Policy.

This program concentrates on the political and economic contexts of policy development. The teaching methods emphasize case studies and problem based learning, with opportunities for policy experience through internships.

The course has been designed especially to suit:

- Policy workers wishing to extend their skills in the health sector;

- Health care practitioners who wish to develop policy skills;

- Recent graduates with science, medical science or social science degrees who desire a career in health policy;

- Managers working in health related sectors – public and private

The Graduate Certificate in Health Policy is a one-year, part-time course. Students will attend day workshops and participate in online discussions, making the course suitable for people living outside the Sydney metropolitan area.
