About Antoinette Abboud

Antoinette Abboud

Antoinette Abboud is the Communications Director at The Centre for Policy Development. Antoinette has been working closely with our team of in-house researchers and network of Fellows to make the good ideas matter and inject them into public debates. Antoinette's research interests are broad and often connect to her extensive community advocacy and work in the not-for-profit sector. She has been involved in refugee, feminist and Indigenous Australian rights as well as environmental, Palestinian and anti-war campaigns. She created and ran Australia's first ever accredited hip hop program in Redfern. Before joining CPD, Antoinette worked at Union Aid Abroad, the humanitarian aid arm of the trade union movement. When not inside the think tank, Antoinette teaches research and writing skills in a Tertiary Preparation Course at Sydney Institute TAFE.
