ReThink

Attempts to face some of Australia's most pressing challenges are being held back by our flawed policy processes. Too often 'policies' are rolled out just in time for an election campaign, only to be dropped when convenient. Too many 'reforms' are based on the clamouring of vested interests rather than fair and sustainable principles.

The CPD plans to publish a series of road maps for the fundamental redesign of Australian public policies. ReThink papers will chart the path from from top-down, short-term ad-hoc ‘reforms’ to long-term, systemic renewal based on consistent principles, widespread citizen participation and a realistic understanding of how we live now.
