Evan Whitton is a Sydney based writer. He was Chief Reporter at The Sydney Morning Herald and Reader in Journalism at the University of Queensland.
Evan received the Walkley Award for national journalism five times, was Journalist of the Year for “courage and innovation” in reporting a Royal Commission, and is the author of seven non-fiction books, including three on the law. He is now a columnist on a legal journal, Justinian.
He has been researching the British and European legal systems since observing at first hand how each dealt with the same organised criminal, Sir Terence Lewis, Police Commissioner of Queensland.
