Maddy Williams (Policy Adviser)

Maddy is an experienced researcher and policy adviser. Before joining CPD, Maddy worked at the Department of Education’s research centre, the Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation, where she undertook qualitative research on equity projects in schools and project managed large-scale student wellbeing surveys. She previously worked in politics as an adviser to a Senator and various state MPs, as well as in community organising for local government elections. She also worked in communications at the National Association of Community Legal Centres. Maddy holds a double Bachelor in Arts majoring in Communication and International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is passionate about multi-disciplinary policy solutions that advance equity and has a keen interest in housing and urban planning.
