Pippa van Helden

Expertise: Fundraising, event management, marketing

Pippa van Helden is Fundraising Adviser at the Centre for Policy Development, responsible for supporting CPD’s fundraising strategy, and securing resources that enable CPD to continue its impactful work on some of the most critical issues facing our society and economy in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Pippa is the third member of CPD’s Sydney office to hold a Bachelor of Music from UNSW! She gained diverse experience within the music industry across event management, marketing and production, working with organisations such as the Australia Ensemble, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and renowned Australian flautist, Sally Walker. From there, Pippa cultivated much of her fundraising expertise at the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, building strong relationships with donors, prospects and corporate partners over two and a half years.

Pippa is excited to combine these fundraising skills with a strong desire to affect change for the better throughout Australia and the Indo-Pacific region. She feels a deep personal connection to Indonesia, having travelled to Bali on several occasions over 10 years, to learn traditional Balinese Gamelan music. In her free time, she still rehearses and performs regularly with the UNSW Balinese Gamelan Ensemble, Suwitra Jaya (meaning “noble friendship”).
