CPD Internship applications

Internships are available on a case-by-case basis depending on research project needs. Internships will be considered in February 2018 and June 2018. As such, although applications are welcome at all times, not all applications will be successful. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 15 February.

All general applications should be addressed to ‘Centre for Policy Development’ and sent via email to admin@cpd.org.au. The subject line must be ‘Internship Application for CPD’. For specific roles, please follow the provided instructions.

Please provide an attached CV and cover letter. The cover letter must comment on a CPD research paper and a policy issue the applicant is passionate about. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

Communications and Social Media Intern (voluntary)

CPD is looking for an intern to contribute to our communications and social media work. The intern will gain valuable skills in developing and implementing a communications strategy, in creating digital content and will have the opportunity to get insights into Australia’s public policy sector.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated keen interest in communications, social media and marketing. The ideal candidate will be numerate, detail-oriented, and possess strong writing skills.

The internship will be supervised by the Events and Communications Officer and run for one to two days a week for three to six months from February 2017. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 31 January. Read the full role description here.

Events and Fundraising Intern (voluntary)

CPD is looking for an intern to contribute to our events and to our fundraising work. The intern will gain substantial experience in organising and coordinating events, in marketing and fundraising and will have the opportunity to get insights into Australia’s public policy sector.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated keen interest in events management, marketing and fundraising. The ideal candidate will be numerate, detail-oriented, and possess strong writing skills.
