Barbara is a Policy Adviser working in the Social Services Focus Area at the Centre for Policy Development. She is especially passionate about the voice of the community in policy making, with a particular focus on the right of children and young people to have a say on the policies and decisions that affect them.
Prior to working at CPD, Barb worked in advocacy across the disability sector and at community legal centres. More recently, she worked as a policy and research officer at peak bodies and not-for-profits. Outside of work, Barb loves to swim at one of Sydney’s beautiful beaches and is an avid reader.
Barb holds a Bachelor of International Studies and a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from Macquarie University.
