Patrick Suckling combines extensive commercial, diplomatic and public sector expertise across four continents. He held senior positions throughout a 25-year career in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including postings in Washington DC, as High Commissioner to India and as Ambassador for the Environment negotiating the Paris Agreement.
He led international policy for two Prime Ministers at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and was an adviser to Australia’s Foreign Minister. Patrick co-founded the global climate advisory and investment firm, Pollination, with a focus on strategic advisory on transition, asset management and project investing. He has specialist expertise on India, including as Chair of the Australia India Institute.
