Wenqian Gan

Expertise: Gender and racial equity, human-centred design, policy research

Dr Wenqian Gan is a qualitative researcher and policy adviser with a strong interest in gender and racial equity. Her PhD thesis explored how sociocultural factors influence women’s pathways into engineering.

Wenqian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney.

She has developed curriculum on human-centred design and volunteered in leadership roles for Engineers Without Borders Australia.

She enjoys long walks and puzzle games in her spare time.
